He becomes obsessed with winning Yugi in Duel Monsters (the only appearance of this game in the series and manga btw!), after he lost the first time to him and was sent by Yami to experience "Death".Yu-Gi-Oh! ( 遊☆戯☆王 ( YU-GI-OH! ) Yūgiō, trans. Kaiba pushes Seto to his limits, and he ends up being as crazy and self-centered and at some point doesn't even care about his brother any longer. Seto and Mokuba where adopted by the rich and evil Kaiba, after Seto won in a chess game against him. Kaiba has a little brother, Mokuba and their past is not simple as they where both left alone after their parents died and their close family took over their assets.
Seto Kaiba Kaiba is a genius student and gamer who also runs Kaiba corp, after he took over the company and pushed his stepfather away. Her dream is to become a dancer in America, and for that purpose she is doing part time jobs. Mazaki Anzu Anzu is a friend of Yugi, and he is secretly in love with her. In this version he is a little more active and has no problems to exchange punches, if it's for the purpose of saving his friends. Hiroto Honda Honda is a friend of Jonouchi and also became friends with Yugi after the thug incident. Later on he becomes a little more tamed the more Yugi's friendships are developed. Unlike his more friendly self in "Yu-Gi-Oh duelist", in this series he is a more dark character, and he makes people go crazy and/or die if they lose in his shadow games. He possess the power of darkness and punishes those who "trespasses his soul", or in other words tries to harm Yugi and his friends. Yami Yugi Yami ('dark' in Japanese) is an ancient Egyptian spirit of the Pharaoh that dwells inside the millennium puzzle. Yugi and the friends he acquires with the help of the puzzle are unaware of his dark alter ego. Now when confronted with danger and injustice, he transforms into a much darker and dangerous form, and proceeds to dish out the justice and punishment for those who so richly deserve it. When he solves an ancient egyptian puzzle he is granted all the powers of darkness. He is usually teased by his classmates because he always plays games and solves puzzles by himself, and his only wish is to make real friends.
Yugi Moto Yugi is a 10th grader, but looks a lot younger due to his short figure. Duel Monsters was not the main point of the show but has been played a few times. However, the person in question would cheat and the Doors of Darkness will open, thus Yami Yugi would do a Penalty Game upon the person, and that which they obsess the most would be their nightmare. Instead, he would challenge them to a Shadow Game, or Yami no Game, where he would then explain the rules. In this series, Yami Yugi doesn't challenge people to a duel of Duel Monsters. One day, after a thug named Ushio threatens Yugi with a knife, he is able to finally finish the millennium puzzle, and returns as Yami to punish the guy. Yugi's favorite puzzle is the "Millennium Puzzle", an ancient artifact shaped like a pyramid, which he is unable to solve. The series revolves around Yugi, a 10th grader who likes games and puzzles, but due to his short appearance have almost no friends and also bullied by his classmates.
While Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters is mostly about the card game, Yu-Gi-Oh! introduces you to all sorts of games, one of which actually has it's own GBA game (Dungeon Dice Monsters). Yu-Gi-Oh! is loosely connected to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters series we used to watch, thought both are based on the same manga. Genres: Action, Comedy, Fantasy, Game, Shounen
